Whereas:The US Constitution, the constitution of 44 states, common law, and the laws of all 50 states recognize the right to use arms in self-defense; and
Whereas:States that restrict the rights of citizens to carry guns for self-defense have higher crime rates than states with Constitutional Carry; and
Whereas:Constitutional Carry laws fulfill the right to use arms in self-defense by making sure individuals are legally able to carry firearms for protection; and
Whereas:Constitutional Carry would allow every law-abiding Wisconsin citizen who wants one to be able to carry a gun to protect themselves and their families;
Whereas:Eleven states are passing Constitutional Carry into law, including four states last year alone;
Therefore:In the interests of freedom, and the right of individuals to protect themselves and their families, I urge you to both cosponsor and seek roll-call votes on Constitutional Carry legislation.
